Join us virtually for our Quantum Computing Masterclass lectures and career panel discussion, as part of our in-person masterclass at Rutherford Appleton Laboratory.

From 10am-11am, there will be two lectures delivered by National Qauntum Computing Centre (NQCC) staff. The first talk is an introduction to NQCC and the work at this facility. The second talk, “Qubits, superposition and measurement”, introduces quantum computing as a way of using the unusual rules of the quantum world to explore problems that are much harder for ordinary computers.

There will be a long break as our in-person quantum masterclass continues with facility tours and workshop. Please re-join us online at 16:00 for a career panel to hear more about jobs in quantum computing. This is optional, and you are welcome to attend whichever parts of the day work for you

The programme for the online day is:

  • 10:00  Welcome to the NQCC, introduction to the day
  • 10:30  Qubits, superposition and measurement
  • 11:00  Break
  • 16:00  Careers panel: roles across the quantum computing stack
  • 16:40  Wrap-up
  • 17:00  End

Registration of interest for this event is now open, follow the link below to register your interest to join us online.
