Science Exploration Day

School workshop

  • Key Stage 3
  • Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, Oxfordshire
  • Free

Join us for a day exploring science at RAL! During Science Explorer Day, Key Stage 3 students are able to visit a working laboratory and meet the scientists, technicians and engineers who work here, sharing the excitement of science, technology, engineering and computing with them.  All students will have a chance to tour one of our experimental facilities, take part in a hands-on workshop and enjoy an interactive talk.

Please note that to meet our safety requirements, we need one teacher (or other accompanying adult) for every ten students.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this year’s event. Registration for Science Explorer Day 2027 will open in Autumn 2026.
